Kristen O’Grady — Trustee
Kristen believes in Microfinance as a way to change the world by empowering women to take their destiny in their own hands. She has been passionately volunteering for MicroDreams since 2010.
Kristen has 10 years of asset management experience at BlackRock. She is a Director in the US Wealth Advisory Business on the Product Structure and Oversight team. In her role, she leads the development of investment products for retail clients, including designing, enhancing and launching mutual funds. She works across asset classes, including leading the development of two impact (sustainable) mutual funds that aim to generate competitive financial returns while investing in measurable social and environmental outcomes.
Starting in BlackRock’s Global Fund Administration team in 2007, Kristen had operational and accounting oversight of open-end and closed-end funds. She has extensive project management experience and investment product knowledge.
As an active member of the BlackRock Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), Kristen co-chairs the WIN New York Operating Committee and created a program to help analysts focus on career development.
Kristen earned an MBA focused on Finance, Marketing and Entrepreneurship from Drexel University. She received a BS in Finance, magna cum laude, from Loyola University Maryland. Additionally, she completed a semester at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. She is Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
Kristen resides in New York City with her husband and daughter.
