F. Chapman Taylor — Trustee

Chapman is a senior vice president of Capital International Research, Inc. a global investment management firm that is part of the Capital Group of Companies.  He spent two years in Samoa with the U.S. Peace Corps after finishing his undergraduate degree.  "That experience helped me think about the bottom of the pyramid, not the top of the pyramid, where most people focus." 

In addition to working full-time and serving as a trustee of MicroDreams, Chapman serves on the boards of Half the Sky, For Love of Children (focused on at risk children in Washington DC), L'Arche Greater Washington DC (a community made up of people with disabilities and those who come to share their lives with them) and Karya Salemba Empat (an Indonesian scholarship fund). He also serves on the National Peace Corps Association’s Advisory Council.

Chapman has an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and he holds a BS in physics and theology from Tulane University.  Chapman is married to Grace Boey Taylor, and they live in Washington, DC with their three children.
