Maria is a single mother of four children with her own food stall business. She has just taken out her third loan from FUNDAMIC. She has used her first two loans to invest in raw materials she needs for her business, mainly potatoes, yucca, rice and sugar. The loans have allowed her to buy fresh fruits, which she re-sells at her stall. This last loan has allowed her to finally send all her children to school. The loan paid for their uniforms, pencils and notebooks. She also spent the money on medical checks for them, and has learned the importance of nutrition for the health for her kids. Her expanded business, thanks to the loans, means she can now afford to feed her children a more balanced diet, as recommended by the doctor.
